Kitsiliano Neighbourhood

Kitsilano, also referred to locally as Kits, is commonly associated with "Kits Beach". Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's organic-food hubs, and has extensive restaurants and retail shops along West 4th Avenue and West Broadway.

Kitsilano is located on the south shore of English Bay, between popular Granville Island and Point Grey. 

The housing in the area is consisted mainly of pre-war single-family detached homes, low-rise apartments, and post-war concrete residential towers. In recent years, many new singly family detached homes with laneway housing and mid-rise apartments were built in Kitsiliano.

The area has an abundance of low-rise apartments providing excellent living spaces for university students, young professionals, downsizing empty nesters and seniors.

If you are looking for an apartment to buy in Kitsiliano, be prepared to pay from $500,000 to over $2,500,000 for the most expensive condos. A 2-bedroom condo may cost around $750,000.

The Kits commercial hubs where local shops and restuarants are lcoated along West 4th Avenue and West Broadway. Kits is the epicentre of Vancouver’s hippie movement in the 1960’s and it is associated with beach volleyball, yoga, organic markets, and the controversial bike lane projects.
